Michele Esteves

Michele has been practicing yoga for over 10 years.  Her discovery and love for yoga began almost simultaneously when she decided to embrace a vegan diet in 2009.

Michele was so struck by the practices and principles of yoga, most especially the principle of ahimsa (no-harm), that she decided to obtain her 200-hour teaching certification through Brahma Yoga in Monmouth Beach, New Jersey.  After graduating from the teacher training program in 2009, Michele continued to foster and deepen her personal yoga practice and to study the principles, however, she did not pursue teaching yet at this time.

Michele is a graduate of Monmouth University with a degree in Social Work and Anthropology.  She has worked for the U.S. Government for over 19 years and is currently employed with the Department of Homeland Security in Newark, New Jersey.  Michele is a Master Level, Reiki Practitioner; and in her spare time, she enjoys oil painting, sketching, reading, and spending time with her husband, their beloved pets, family and friends.

Michele is also a graduate of the Yoga + Herbs, Authentic Yoga Tradition, 200-hour Teacher Training Program and now gratefully and humbly holds two (2) teacher certifications at the 200-hour level as a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT).   Michele believes in utilizing creativity, positive energy, and strength building, and synchronizing these elements with various pranayama, asana and meditation practices to create interesting, fun, and well-balanced classes
